Revisiting the unfinished project of cinematic modernism in Hellworld. Matthew Ellis is incoming Assistant Professor of the Practice of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. Raised in the Portland metro area, he previously taught film and media studies courses at Portland State University and has worked in the local film exhibition and music worlds since the mid-2000s.
